Be warned...no shade, rocky and barren. I booked sites 5, 7, 8, 9. We ended up cancelling upon arrival and looked for another area to stay the week. Site 5 too near the restroom (smelly gusts) and rocky for tent.. Site 7 has a couple of small trees (ok). Site 8 next to 7 no trees, rocky area for tents. Sites 9-11 are a good walking distance away from parking lot and over some larger rocks (no shade). Access to river is over large rocks. No beach.

We love Goldledge and all of Kernville. We look forward to camping there every year. The bathrooms are a little funky sometimes but you're camping amd roughing for a couple of days. Enjoy the river, the family bonding and memories.

Supposed to be $2 per vehicle per night ($4 on holidays) but honestly not alot of room for extra cars. There is a turnoff across the way where you can park extra cars for free and it's just an easy jaunt across the road.
The campground is seasonal and only available to reserve starting memorial day weekend and ending in September. The campground is closed from October to May.
Each camp spot you can have 6 ppl
We did, his name is bear he's a big old gigantic German Shepherd Germany bred he was all in the river with my daughter and everything
It can also work as a first come first serve of what I know. But its always better to reserve, the sooner the better.
Sometimes during the week you dont. But definitely on weekends. Usually 6 months in advance
There are water, toilets, and trash bins therefor it is not a primitive site.
Yes. Its only like$30 per night
