We loved our room and patio overlooking the river. A doe and her two fawns were nibbling on herbs along the narrow aquaduct below the patio. On our evening stroll (about 20 slope-steps) to the river and along the woodsy trail along the aquaduct we saw a dipper, a Great blue heron, an orange adult red-shouldered hawk, acorn woodpeckers, Anna's hummer, and blue-colored scrub jays. About our room (107), the bathroom is super-nice and big with two sinks separated by cabinets and a walk-in shower and a separate tub. The bed wasn't hard and the beautiful comforter lived up to its name. We didn't try the button-controlled fireplace or the beautiful pool. The staff were very helpful and might even let you ring the gong at check-in during wide-awake hours.

We stayed a few weeks ago and it was very pleasant and peaceful. We had a great view overlooking the River down below. Usually we camp at one of the sites but wanted to have a comfortable stay somewhere and we got it! No issues whatsoever with anything. We will definitely stay again and have recommended to family and friends.

This was a quaint little place. Our room overlooked the river. It wasn’t fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a couple of dips in the pool. I would have rated as a 5 star experience except for the roadie group that had a party the second night. Room amenities included a refrigerator and coffeemaker.

Hows the light pollution around this area at night? I remember camping in sequoia, but with hotels around I wonder if is still the same as inside the park. I'm trying to see the stars with my kid , and remember seeing everything in the sky when campi

It's decent. Better than in major city: the sky is definitely more visible. But it's not as good as in the middle of nowhere. Still I'm sure it would be more than adequate for sharing a moment with the kids.
