Akka is by far the best karate school I’ve seen! The prices are beyond fair, but what really makes it special is the commitment & devotion Mr. Burt and all the instructors express with each and every student. They each not only teach classes as a whole, but individually spend one on one time with every student to ensure they’re learning well and understand. They are sincere and have a real passion for martial arts that shines through in all they do. They also teach fundamentals of respect, to parents, teachers & classmates; self discipline, commitment, perseverance, and more. My daughter has greatly benefited from attending and I am anxious to see what else is to come!!! I looked into a martial arts school for months before deciding on AKKA. Many are in local area, but they all seemed detached & more “propaganda” type then a real school. I cannot recommend this place enough! If you’re looking for somewhere to help your child learn self defense, how to positively navigate bullying, and build a good foundation of self esteem….here is the only place I found that does. That has consistent same students for years, not just some “trial” ok next. I am not paid or rewarded in any way for this review. I am a real parent of an 11yr old daughter, who in these trying times, will be able to protect or defend herself if need be. The peace of mind it gives me is immeasurable.

My son is 4 and loves his karate classes at AKKA independence. He was struggling in school with keeping his hands to himself but has transferred his focus to his school days. He loves the belts and the class time. I love the focus and the positive chants that build on the physical activity.

A.K.K.A. Is probably one of the best karate schools in this area. Not only is it pretty spacey, there’s even a gym and some very nice and friendly instructors too. It’s something you’re able to do as a family and, in my opinion, every family needs SOMETHING they do together or they will never form the bond they need.
