No unfortunately not. Although if it is a career you would be interested in then they do do ride alongs on the fire trucks. You can fill out an interest card for KCFD at kcmo.org

Do you offer courses in train candidates here?

We only train our cadets after going through the hiring process by the city. We do not offer outside classes

When does the Fire Academy begin? Fall, Spring or Summer.

They dont give classes the the public. It is only for fire dept employees.

The Fire Academy is open and active. Candidate's may not be contacted by phone. They can use their personal phones during breaks or lunch only. KCFD is not taking applicants until JAN. 2019 See KC City Government website for further information.
