Had to get a replacement social security card and it was quick and relatively painless. It was a scary experience with the metal detectors and being treated like I’m untrustworthy right off the bat. But I understand why they had to do that. Overall good experience.

Is the Utica social security office is open now ?

I have ASD and need to periodically stop in to be compliant with the federal government. They make you leave your phone with them but totally give it back. I just leave mine in my car. Otherwise they're kind, courteous and professional.

things change such as living situations Cannot afford to live on my own which I now have to do Because I don't make enough on social security And in the office there says so sad too bad Enjoy life in the street I am in my 60's and will end up freezing to death in winter on the street What the social security say about it Too bad so sad we are not going to help you They feel I'm making enough which is less than what rent costs In our area

By appointment only i think
Social security is not who you call about health insurance .. your thinking of social services. Call your local department of social services for questions about medicaid and other services. 🤗
It usually takes 10-14 days once requested per SSA
Yes, they are. But you have to call them by phone first to get the appointment. Because, for some issues, you don't need an appointment, so they will let you know how to proceed whether via mail, online or come in person.

It all depends on you situation disability or retirement. Retirement it based in what you paid in. The disability you have to apply and then it can be determined the amount of SSI you will receive.
