My wife and I went through ServPro to have mold removed from our vents. Unfortunately they only offer vent mold cleaning with HVAC cleaning so we ended up paying $526.00 for our vent covers to be cleaned. The gentlemen who came did a fabulous job cleaning the HVAC, but did a terrible job cleaning the mold off the vents (which is the only reason why we hired them). When I got home I checked their work, the HVAC was done well, but the vents still had mold on them. My wife said the two men who came assured her that it was rust. After taking a closer look I saw it was indeed mold. I cleaned the vents myself and took before and after photos. I called the SERVPRO and they said the most they could refund us was $150.... I thought this was absolutely absurd given the ONLY. reason why we came to them was to get our vents cleaned which they failed at. After looking online I found out that mold removal normally cost $400.00, therefore I asked for $350.00 which I think is reasonable given we paid over $500 and all we wanted was for our vents to be cleaned and they failed at that. Cindy said she thinks that $150 is reasonable and refused to refund anymore than that. My our two neighbors just asked how everything went and if I'd recommend this place for them to use to clean their HVAC and the other for plumbing issues I said absolutely not! Honestly, had SERVPRO refunded us the $350.00 this review would be a lot different. But because they decided not to part with another $200 they have an unsatisfied customer AND missing out on potential customers from word of mouth. Below are the photos vents before and after.
