not many diesel repair shops in the Rush City area, especially that are moble. The Diesel shop did a service call, got my truck going, all for a reasonable charge. thank you

I had one of my mechanic friend try to fix my 2003 F450 because it had a crank but wouldn't turn over and start. I ended up buying new battery and put in a new starter but the truck still didn't start. Feeling frustrated, I googled a Diesel repair shop and The Diesel Shop. I called up the diesel shop and spoke to Jay...and had my Truck towed to the shop. 2 days went by and Jay called me told me that he was able to diagnose the problem and it was the AC Belt that was torn and struck that's why the engine wasn't able to turn over. Jay gave me a quote, if i wanted his shop to do the AC. I spoke to my wife and we decided that we are not in a financial position to fix it now. I asked Jay...What do I owe his shop for the diagnostic and such fee....He stated that I didn't owe him anything for the diagnostic...WoW!!! It's hard to believe that he said that...a honest and humble man which is rare these days in age. I highly recommend this place for anyone thinking of getting their cars or trucks diagnose and fix. It's a honest shop.

My truck is at the diesel shop again, after the original new/rebuilt Turbo I had them put in blew up after 14 months. The owner, Jay said he would make it right. We will see what that means and that will make up my decision on this review. Well...i had to have my truck towed to another shop! After the diesel shop decided not to honor an industry standard 24/24 (24 months or 24k miles) warranty, i allowed the owner Jay, to put a new turbo in my truck after he stated that "he would be willing to work with me on the cost of repairs and he would make it right." Well i got a call from the mechanic Bryan and he informed me that when he pulled my truck out of the shop for a test drive with the new turbo installed, the motor ran away on him. If you dont know what a runaway diesel is, look it up on youtube, its pretty incredible. The best video i found was ford 6.0 fubar runaway diesel. ANYWAYS, that happened and they blew up my motor! I have talked to several mechanics after the fact, funny thing is they all tell me that they have heard nothing but bad news abot the diesel shop... anyways, the best explanation i heard was from a shop in wyoming called cutting edge, they specialize in diesel engines in particular fords. He told me that what most likely happened is that when my turbo blew going down the freeway, oil went everywhere! And if you dont properly flush the motor, ESPECIALLY THE INNER COOLER, the motor will run away every time once that old oil aspirates and makes its way to the intake. Well, the owner Jay decided to do nothing.... nothing at all... he has yet to call me after i have stopped by the diesel shop every Wednesday for the past month and a half to talk to him. My truck is an 2003 f250, its got 220000 miles, im not asking him for a new truck! I just want it running again! The receptionist Cory, is a very understanding guy, he has been pleasant to deal with and understanding. But long story short, i called a flat bed today to go pick up my truck and take it to another shop. AND i have contacted my lawyer who will be filing the necessary paper work to sue the diesel shop for the cost of the repairs. It is a shame that it had to come to this, but what other options have i been left with when the owner refuses to even call much less fix my truck. I understand it was an accident, but thats what insurance is for. DONT GO HERE! DONT CALL! DONT RISK IT! Avoid at all costs! East central diesel is on grandy, 15 miles away! Go there!
