If you are looking to treat your mental health in a positive way, then this is NOT the place to help you feel better. Rude, condescending and disrespectful practitioners and staff who have no professional skills to help those suffering with real problems. Clients who have taken the step to reach out for help with their mental health are looking for reassurance their needs will be met with compassion, not that they will be patronised, laughed at and talked over when trying to speak about their issues. This is not a practice that will support you or help you to get better.

Every one at this facility was courteous and professional and seemed to care about the welfare of my wife.

Haven’t had a such a bad customer service experience in a long time. I had been being seen for about 3 months and everything was going fine, but this past month I had two incidents that required I be assisted by the AMP staff. Both times I was treated terribly. The receptionist, Daisy, is EXTREMELY rude and and condescending. She would speak to me as if I was incompetent. I was also made out to feel that both of the incidents were my fault and that I would just have to suffer the consequences. They have terrible communication skills and are extremely disorganized. Everyone says something different and they have no idea what’s going on. My psychiatrist also mistook me for another patient with my same name and started asking me about various medications that I had never ever even been prescribed. She finally realized she had mixed us up and was looking at the wrong notes during my appointment with her. CARELESS. It’s safe to say I will not longer be using their services and warn anyone that is considering using them for mental health services.

Usually the visits differ by which visit you are scheduling. For Psychiatry: -The first appointment (intake) is typically anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour. Here we will discuss symptoms, history, get to know one another, etc. -Follow-up appointments (which can vary in frequency) are typically around 15-20 minutes long. For Therapy/Psychological Counseling -Most visits will all be on hour with minor variability between. Most often, therapy is scheduled on a weekly basis to build upon what was discussed the week prior.

Currently, we have very limited talk therapy and the waitlist for our psychologists are growing. However, we will soon be bringing on more LMHC and RMHCIs in the coming months in order to accommodate the growing demand for therapy. Until then, we have an amble network of therapists with a wide array of specialties we can refer you out to.

We do! Our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners are all certified to analyze, conduct a review patients, diagnose & treat ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). While typically this condition is diagnosed in childhood, adult ADHD is more common than some think, and adults are also eligible for ADHD screenings.

There are a few similarities and differences Psychiatry: -usually refers to the process of assessing, diagnosing, and prescribing of medications for a mental disorder or ailment. -Psychiatrist usually do not conduct "talk therapy" or psychotherapy. -Hold either an M.D. (Medical Doctor), a PA (physicians Assistant), or a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. All of these individuals can prescribe, but do not conduct therapy. Psychologist: -Usually refers to therapists, counselors, talk therapists, psychotherapists and life coaches. -Cannot Prescribe medication -More focused on talking through issues. -Are many modalities and variations, and varies more than psychiatric practices.
