This is a really nice, smaller, quiet state park and lodge. We felt welcomed in every part of the park and the manor house. The staff was incredibly warm and friendly. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of five is that they are very short staffed right now in the manor house and so some cleaning details were missed, (cobwebs various places indoors and the soap dispensers in the bathrooms looked like they had missed a few cleans). They are also in the process of renovating the guest rooms, so I can imagine that everything will be back up to top shape in the next few months. While we were there we played disc golf, enjoyed the pool, enjoyed the evening on the patio, hiked near the lake, went canoeing and visited the nature center. Be aware that canoes and kayaks are available to rent at the campground as the marina has closed.

Very nice park with water and electric hook ups. Lots of activities and hiking. Bathrooms are clean. Some sites are a bit narrow if you have a class A motorhome.

Delicious roasted red pepper gnocchi.Salad bar with a variety also, and shrimp. Desert selection of 4 different cakes/pies. Quality food and exceptional service. Gorgeous State Park in Ohio. It was a little confusing trying to find the boardwalk on the lake marsh. I didn't really see any visible signs from the parking lot advising, otherwise I would have given five stars. Great view all around. When …

Yes. The sledding hill is made for folks bringing in their own sleds.
There are primitive sites that you walk into. Not far a 100 ft or so. They sit on top of a wooded hill. They were not heavily used when we visited so they were nice and secluded but if multiple campers chose to camp there then they will not be so secluded.
Yes its free and only til 11pm to be on the lake there is an attendant on duty at the marina summer hours should be posted at the rental window for canoes, have fun
Cleveland Zoo is worth a trip
Pools are available to public for a fee per person. as long as it has not reached capacity. See front desk person in the manor to get wristbands & sign In
There may be a soccer field at Newbury Township school...very close to Punderson.
I don't know. I just hide there during my lunch. Lol
Yes! It's at the camping check in.
No, inflatables are not allowed
Pool access is only for guests staying at the manor
Yes
They vary based on times of the year. Cabins are around $140 - $160 this time of year.
No pull through ... But full hook ups
Just don't tell them !
Not sure we took our camper, so you would have to call the office
Yes, though no lifeguards on duty and a lot of lily pads as of August 2020.
No there isn't.
If I'm not mistaken there are a few sites without electric. It's like 58 thru 53 or something, but to Jessica's point, just don't use it. And yup, have fun with your Kayaks. Oh and yes you do need to make a reservation to camp.
Reserveohio.com for reservations 👍
If you schedule early you can get camp sites to host your group. We get 3 sites all in a row for our group. You will need more. I think it's 2 tents per lot but we have 3 lots so we set up the tents together and the food in one area to accommodate us!
Yeah but I think you need a fishing license
It has been a long time since I've done that. The best thing I can think of is to Google the Park to find out, I don't remember it being very expensive. Though, it was reasonable.
I always say when in doubt call to be sure. I'm just not sure about the handicap trails, however it would be a very loving and considerate as well as a humane act on the part of all public parks don't you think. There should be someone we could contact to make this mandated. It would show the utmost highest respect we have for ones with special needs and their families. I'm just saying!!!!!
For sure and as with anything when in doubt call and ask to be sure.
Yes.
Never went to the pool sorry. I have been to a few state park pools, mohican and deer creek and they didn't supply life jackets. Might be a good idea to bring your own if you have them.
Yes, you can use one you bring with you, but the golf course will not rent you one to drive around the campground.
yes they do. at the campground
2 or 4 to 8 and you would get your info at the lodge
Yes
We know you can but at 1:30 and music is way to loud and you can't find help that is a problem.
Yes
The range is open to the public however you do need to bring your own bows and arrows
Is there canoe Rental.. what are there hours?
West woods further down hwy 87 westward before Hwy 306
Call the lodge in the park and ask the person at the front desk, they have a list of places nearby. I believe one is on jug rd, about 15 minutes away.
The parks open from dawn to 11pm. The snowmobile trails are closed today
Yes
