I went to house of brides at the beginning of this year to look for wedding dresses, and found mine here. Christine was my assistant and she was wonderful, however, Joan the manager is a difficult, rude person to deal with. I took my bridesmaids back after I purchased my wedding dress to look for and try on their dresses and the first hour and a half was a complete waste because as my bridesmaids picked out their favorite styles of dresses, Joan comes over and says “oh I’m so sorry, the the color you want isn’t available In these dresses.” Therefore our search for dresses had to be started over. This was extremely unprofessional and a huge waste of our time, as we discussed my color at the beginning of our appointment and we were specifically shown the rack of dresses that had the available color. Once the final dresses were picked out, everyone’s measurements were taken. The adult dresses fit, but my niece’s, age eleven, did not. They gave her an adult size, which had to be altered at a different place which was extremely hard to find due to this being two weeks before the wedding. Back to my wedding dress, I will start by saying my original dress was sleeveless, I received it end of July (my wedding was early August) with sleeves attached and excessive draped beading that hung with no purpose and was absolutely dreadful. When Joan was approached about this issue, she tells me “oh every dress comes with sleeves.” The fact that they wouldn’t own up to their mistake and kept telling me lies was appalling. I had the seamstress take the beading off and attach a bussel to my wedding dress. For the beading to be taken off, the seamstress took it to her house and I only got my dress back three days before my wedding. The shoulder area of my dress kept falling down, but there was no time for further alterations and I had to use double sided tape for a quick fix in that area which was a nuisance the whole time I wore it because it didn’t do well adhering to the delicate fabric of my dress and the tape kept getting stuck in my hair. The seamstress showed my maid of honor how to attach the bussel, which had a total of three attachment points, but at the wedding only one point was found and the other two still have yet to be discovered. The other two must have fallen off. Due to this, my dress was dragging the whole night at my reception, which of coarse got dirty, and made it uncomfortable to dance, walk around, etc, as my dress had a long train. Not to mention, while the seamstress had my dress, I sent her several texts, they were read, and I did not receive one reply until my dress was done which caused alot of stress not knowing what was happening with my wedding gown. In addition, Joan said my dress would be steamed upon final pickup and it wasn’t, it was extremely wrinkled, stuffed in a bag half the dresses size and I had to steam it myself. Overall, the customer service at this company is very underwhelming and there is bad communication practices. Please listen to the bad reviews If you are looking to shop here because sadly they are accurate.

So disappointed! I am one out of many bridesmmaids and they messed up my dress big time. My color was completely off and some other girls dresses were not even the correct sizes and measurements. And they came in last minute so we didn't have time for alterations. We couldn't pay for dresses separately or cancel some of them or get a refund. Never coming back to this place in the future

How do you get a refund if the dress dose not arrive in the time the salon promised?

Thank you for your inquiry. The majority of our merchandise is available by special order meaning the designer makes the gown according to each individual order we provide. Because of this, House of Brides Couture has a All Sales Final policy. However, we have an expeditor and staff who work closely with our designers to ensure the timeliest delivery of our customers' orders. We encourage customers who have any concerns to contact the salon manager for assistance.

Does anyone have the Ordering Departments Contact information? I have been given the run around by the salon when asking for information regarding my wedding dress order. Or is possible the manager's contact information or corporate?

Why do you advertise that you're open untill 6pm on Saturdays when your only open till 5pm? Doors, phone and internet all say 6pm.

Thank you for your inquiry. Our store hours are Monday - Thursday 12:00p - 9:00p, Friday 12:00pm - 6:00pm, Saturday 10:00a - 6:00p and Sunday 12:00p - 6:00p. Stores hours are sometimes adjusted. We post adjusted hours on our website and Facebook page.
