The process for a Healthcare provider to drop off labs is AGONIZING! This needs to be resolved!!

They say that they accept walks in but they don’t, they only accept appointments, but when you check online they never have any slots available. They practically kicked us out of the establishment without attending to all of us who were registered. One of the employees was yelling at us in a very disrespectful way not to check in anymore for walk in because they already wanted to leave.

What a disaster. The waiting room is very spacious, with seats placed far from each other for social distacing. There is NO ONE at the front desk. Just a pack of water bottles and sanitizer but there is no one to ask questions to. There are 2 computers for people to check in but guess what, they supposedly use their old numbering system and so you will waste your time check in. This is what happened to most of the people here who happen to be sitting waiting to get called. A woman came in with breakfast from Publix and helped a few people on her way back in. Later another nurse popped out to tell everyone that if we got a number it doesn’t count because they no longer use them. So nearly everyone that was seated had to reregister. So if you have questions to ask before waiting you have to wait for someone to open the door from inside and rush to them before the close again. This is a total nightmare because there’s no way to know if you have the right paperwork if your insurance is ok, beforehand because no one wants to wait an hour while fasting to get sent back with the wrong documents or something. And yes, I just walked out and surprise! My paperwork was missing info so after waiting an hour and 15 minutes outside I waited another half inside bc I had to call my doc. Then the nurse could not find my doc in the system Bc she didn’t realize that MSMC was also Mt Sinai Medical Center. She said the name had to appear exactly as shown on paper 🤦🏻‍♀️. I also saw her keeping the gloves on from patient before me to use the computer. Then when she went to grab the tubes for me she did with the same gloves so I had to stop her and ask her to get new gloves which she said she’s always changing them. But I was there and saw her not removing them after last patient and she kept Then through the whole registration process for me. DEMAND NEW GLOVES ALWAYS EVERYWHERE!
