Will not stay at this campground again. First day we get there, the guy working at the booth warns us about theft. 2nd day there, we get accused of stealing a chair by some random lady. We showed her proof that the chair was in fact ours but she was already at a different camp site accusing someone else.

Cool nature center. The facilities seem very nice. The showers require tokens at 2 tokens for a dollar. 3 minutes per token. $2 was plenty of time to wash my hair and get clean.

Fun small campground in the middle of dunes

Yes. You must choose wisely
Go to the map for the park and select a site that meets your needs. Restroom and shower facilities are located on the map as well. Front site is for RV camping with hook-up and the back site is for tent camping.
Yes.
Yes in both the back section which has larger sites and the front where there is water and electric hook-up
Yes, I believe there is room for a tent in most of the "hook up" sites. However, I'm not sure if they allow the tents to remain up all day. Hope this helps. Oceano is an awesome campground. Under no circumstances do they allow for early check-in. Only after 2:00 p.m.
Yes! For 10 dollars
Hi, I called reserv California. They walked me through the process and helped me use my handicap access card. 😉
If you don't have a reservation and arrive late. See the camp host to check what's available
At the Oceano campground there are RV hookups... and the campground is maybe 3 blocks from the beach. We saw people driving their ATVs to the beach (dont know if that's legal? But we saw tons doing it right in front of officials so who knows) The campground is nice and the site rental also gives you a beach access pass so you can come and go as you want The beach does have camping... but no RV hookups (that I saw) and we were told its $15 a day.
No. It's a longer hike and there is deeper sand areas. Your better off the drive to the beach. It's only $5 and you can park on the beach in the sand.
It doesn't matter what you drive. As long as you can get it through the sand or have somebody with 4WD to pull it to camp spot. Remember to bring yellow or orange safety tape to mark out your spot! If you have kids and small children, it is the perfect way to keep others out of your spot and keep your children safe! Public restrooms and a cool family owned store that has pretty much everything that you may have forgotten at home or ran out. (Like lantern parts for replacement, safety flags (different types and sizes), souvenirs (including tshirts & sweatshirts), ice and refreshments.
Oceano Community Campgrounds..$1 for 3 min's. Good for public use, just park in front of the Oceano duck pond.
No they have extra cars park on the street entering Campground. We had no problem parking our extra cars out there.
We reserved our campsite online reserve California website
No laundry facilities at this campground
Think 35 a night non hook up
Yes, in the back section. The front section has hook-ups for RVs and trailers.
No it does not.
Pretty strict. Fairly busy area with lots of other dogs. Not a good idea to have your dog off leash in camp or on the beach in Pismo/Oceano. There is a great dog beach in Avila.
Yes there full ups when you first come in, kind of close together, and not much trees like toward back lots of trees but know hook up in back had water and clean restrooms with showers front and back.
Yes, they have these big fire pit rings. We took plenty of wood and had a fire for our 3 nights there.
Yes..... cooking and roasting in fire pit....get plenty of wood... enjoy
I saw fishermen..... no fish.
Yes
No. They're saying it will be open in October. However you need to make a reservation... it's booking up
No. Projected to open in October.
You would have to contacts the camp grounds
No fishing. BBQ, yes.
I believe it is $30 a night.
It is 8 people per vehicle so if you have 2 registered vehicles you can have a total of 16 people I don't think they count the heads in your group. Have fun stay safe don't drink and drive.
No I booked thru reserveca to pismo st beach oceano There might be a phone number on there
Yes both
Reservations for two weeks, have to call six months in advance ! Reserve California. Hook ups if requested, tent camping in back ,showers and bathrooms.
No known number as there are different sizes but you must keep within that sites perimeters with everything. You could call and discuss with them re: any particulars. They are happy to answer questions.
$10 a night camping, $5 a day pass, stay up by the pole markers, trust me, I've been washed out in an RV two years in a row
Most rv Parks have month2month rental spaces available. Contact the rv parks in the area that he would prefer to be in, check out the area for stores, senior facilities, senior services, and things that he would enjoy doing, both internal and external to the park. Rates can be as low as $400+electric to over $1500+electric per month.
that's funny you asked that I have been asked before and you can NOT just because there are other animals in there if you have that around you will get a ticket
They have hookups. I think the spaces should accommodate you.
Yes, you can. And you could always ask when you're making ur reservations.
Reserve America
North Beach has a dump site and so does the county behind the Last sage Rv park also free. Banana Boy will give a suck for 40.00 enjoy
Yes hook ups in the first 38 sites I think . Maybe others too, check Reserve America

If you have reserved a site for the night you can stay in the site and check in the next day if no one is in the kiosk that evening.
You can park on the beach
All of the sites are "pull through" sites... depending on the length of the item you're towing you may not have to unhook your RV when you park.
Of course but you have to go into the riding area before you can offload or ride them .it's best to camp in the riding area if that's the main reason for going .
Yes... there are two bathroom/shower combination buildings... most sites are super close to one or both of the facilities
During the "off season" it is. Usually , reservations are required.
Not here. This is a county campground near entrance to the beach. You can pitch a tent on the sand at Oceano Dunes SRV
Sold out
One car and one trailer or two cars. You can get a day visitor pass for additional. Parking available across the street during day but tow after 8. Parking on street in nearby neighborhoods of you can find one
The dunes camping area can be fun but I would not advise for a one year old. Very windy, blowing sand (a lot), and can be quite cold. There are 3 campgrounds almost spitting distance from the beach that offer a lot of protection and showers. North Beach, Oceano (Pismo State Beach), and SLO County Oceano campground on Airport Rd. Good luck hope to see you and your munchkin.
Yes. As you drive in you'll see a posted list of who hasn't checked in and which space they have. They do ask that you stop by the next morning to let them know you've arrived.
Yes Yes Yes You can drive & sleep on beach. Brand new Oceano Campground, 1 block from best beach. Surfing, Jet Ski. Rent Paddle Board, Dune Buggy or Bicycles. Can pick up rocks & Sand Dollars all day! Walk beach 2 miles to Pismo. Walk beach 1 mile north to restaurants. 4 state bathrooms on beach, 1 mile apart beginning, Oceano, Grover Beach, Pismo.
They are completely different campgrounds and oceano is cheaper
Vehicles & camping allowed on beach. '2017 was $5 night or free walk in. 2 State laboratory's; at entrances, 1 mile apart. Finn's only restaurant at beach. Everything & priced reasonable. Way fun area. Lots of sand dollars.
There's usually space. I wouldn't waste my time scheduling 6 months in advance unless you are planning a big celebration
yes except on beach where everyone rides on the dunes. State only provides bathrooms in the riding area. Some people share there private usage but no public hook up in the dunes.
I believe $37 a night not sure if it changes with the seasons
$77 for 2 nights
