Menu and process for ordering was a bit confusing - not a lot of servers during lunch that made it difficult to maneuver and order. Food was good, but nothing special. Lots of beer options to pair with the food.

I was visiting Solvang and staying at a nearby hotel, so after a 11-hour drive decided to walk from my hotel to Firestone Walker for a cold beer and a nice dinner. There were only a hand-full of tables that were being used, but decided I'd sit at the bar. I sat there 17 minutes and didn't get any service. I asked a server behind the bar if I had to go to the "Order Here" section to get service, and she said she could help me. She provided me with a taste of possible beer, and then I didn't see her again to get to order. So I finally went to the "Order Here" section and put in an order of fish and chips and a beer. The fish was mushy and very bland. The French Fries were very good. After I was served dinner, I was not checked-on once to see if everything was okay and/or if I wanted another beer. I had to ask yet another person to cash-out. I was appalled at the extremely poor service. It wasn't even busy, so I couldn't even give them the benefit of the doubt that they were busy. My daughter was a server and bartender for many years before she did a career change, so as a result, I normally am a 20-30 percent tipper when I go out. However, I cannot remember having such blatantly poor service, and thus left a tip to commensurate with the service.

As long as the growler is a standard size (e.g., 64 oz), I’m 99% sure you’ll be good to go (from personal experience, I’ve never seen or heard of a brewery rejecting a growler with a label from another brewery before so you should be good to go). p.s., I think they might also offer 32 oz crowlers (can-growlers) which are 100% recyclable and you can buy 2 for the same price it would cost to fill up your own growler so definitely ask them about those in case they have ‘em!
I was recently at the Barrelworks, where there are no tours. I've never seen anything concerning tours at Firestone in Paso Robles, either.
Not really, but if your pockets are deep you might be able to talk them in to decorating and setting up their barrel room free big event. That's where they hold beer release parties.
They actually do have their menu online. Just go to their website: www.firestonebeer.com/visit/paso-robles.php, scroll down to the bottom, you'll see menus, then click on what you want. I clicked on lunch/dinner and it came up as a pdf.
Yes and I suggest getting the rotating tots and a burger! You will not be disappointed!
Not sure either, but they did play sports on the tv's there. They are not a tradition sports bar .
