Nice place to go let loose some frustration or to just shoot normal. Even have benches.

Been coming here for years now. Great location that is free of cost. Only negative is that it has become a lot more popular, and this makes it hard to secure yourself a table. This wonderful range is usually always busy nowadays, even on weekdays.

Great free outdoor firing range. Everyone there seemed very friendly and very aware of safety. No range master, but everyone works together to provide a safe experience. Other people that I know, that have been there, have had the same great experience.

Showed up early Sunday morning. There was one empty table out of 9. Got in and out in 90 minutes did what I needed to do. The other shooters were nice and respectful of others. Not as large an area I was thinking it would be. I'd go back

It's BLM land. There are a few nice concrete picnic tables oriented for bench shooting. Bring your own frames, stands, and targets. There is no RSO or safety officer on site. YOU are your own RSO! Make sure you clean up when you're done. Should be a great place to do what you want.
I have never been asked to leave outside of those hours. And there is no gate. But you will have the ranger show up possibly. He only has ever made his presence known and looked around and then left. I’m pretty sure that shooting is acceptable from sun-up to sun-down.
I think that is for shotguns. I have gone out out there with my pistol and deer rifle before. No problems.
No bathrooms on site.
No, you have to bring your own, simple makeshift. I just used old cardboard boxes fill with sand and stabled paper targets.
I don’t think it would ever shut down because of that unless everything surrounding it was on fire. Every year the fire department shows up and does a contained control burn to keep it from even being a fire hazard.
Technically no. There is a sign posted not to. But i do, as well as other people.
I've been going there for many years, all summer long. Never heard of anything like this.
