This is the best lake in Northern California! The staff is the riff raff you encounter at other lakes are seldom seen here. I've been coming to this lake for 30 years, and it is truly one of my favorite places to recreate.

Can't wait to return. Helpful, polite and didn't try the upsale upon arrival. If you want a fun filled vaca, this is the place. Get kids away from screen time for fun time, rent a houseboat not a hotel. Meet new people or spend alone, it's just the best place for any mood.

They do not want groups to gather. They say they might reopen 1 July. The area is run by the army corps of engineers .
I'm not sure, it seems they would provide, however, if they don't, the lake has loaners at both boat launches.

Debit or credit card only at day use. I'm not sure if cash is accepted at the marina.
Fishing is better toward the end where the river feeds into the lake. Rices crossing area my fave! The camping is great too, boat in access only. They also have picnic tables and bbq's with restroom at the end of the parking lot for those without a boat. ♡♡♡
