Price is right...$8. It makes me question and wonder where the line is between art and ?, Well, not art. Some of the paintings and exhibits were interesting and made you think. Other items were less than understandable or anything other than a less than appropriate use of resources. I'll leave it to you to figure out which is which.

Nice small museum that you can cruise through in less than an hour, depending on how long you spend. Average person could probably breeze through in half that time. Either way I recommend as it was nice and had some interesting exhibits.

Keep in mind, you are going to a museum of art. If you have concerns about content you expose to your children. It's not weather or not the museum is family friendly or not. It's what exhibits are currently in display, and how that fits with your values. I encourage everyone to visit the museum, but prepare yourself by looking at their website before taking kids if you are concerned.
It's free, they just ask for donations but it's not a requirement.
There is no entry fee but the suggested voluntary donation is $5 per person.
Last time I went they said it was fine, just no flash photography. I might ask to see if any specific exhibit has a different standard though.

There is parking available at City Creek (across the street) and the first two hours are free. There is metered street parking right outside the museum.

I would call them and ask- but I'm fairly sure you'll have to find something nearby and walk to the venue. If you arrive early enough, you can find something. Good luck!
