The facility does not answer the phones, The staff is extremely unprofessional. I had a parent there that did not need to be there and was kept longer then they should have. The facility is dirty and dreary and depressing. It does not match the pictures or recordings. I would not recommend staying there or having someone you care about stay there. They recommend procedures that are too risky for the cancer patient.

I dont know where some of these reviews could have possibly been. My Mother was here for 8 days and let's just say that she had to be sent to the ER where they found her to be in critical condition. I would not send anyone you care about or want to see taken care of here...I would RUN in the other direction. Avoid this place at all cost.

What a beautiful venue for long term care! I work in many facilities nationwide and Ft. Lauderdale is at the top of the list. The clinical staff and administrative team have such a passion for their residents and families. Have peace of mind knowing your loved one is going to be in the right hands.

DONT PUT YOUR FAMILY MEMBER IN THIS REHAB. THEY MAY NOT MAKE IT OUT ALIVE. My mother was sent there after a stay in the hospital for pneumonia and an infection in her foot. I didn’t see her for a couple days while she was there but I would call and check on her and was told that she was doing fine. I went to visit her on Mother’s Day along with another family member and we both noticed that her eyes had huge bags and appeared to be filled with liquid which is very unusual for her. She appeared to not have slept or eaten in a week. After looking at her further we noticed she had black and blue marks all down one arm and a small cut on her hand. I immediately went to ask her nurse, I believe her name was Minnie what happened. The other nurse at the front desk volunteered the info and told me that she fell the day before. I inquired why I was never notified and she went to look it up in the computer and said the nurse wrote down that “family member was called and voice mail left”. I told her that is not true as I have my phone 24 hrs a day and there were no missed calls or messages whatsoever. My aunt was the 2nd contact on her records and she received no call either. The very next day I called and asked to speak to the Director of nursing to get more info about the fall and to report whoever falsified the records. Sabine then told me that she was about to call as my mother’s hemoglobin was way below normal. I told her to send my mother back to Westside Regional which she ended up needing a blood transfusion. They never had her checked after the fall and I have a feeling if I didn’t call I would never have known that her hemoglobin was low. They sent her back to the E.R. With no notification that she had fallen. They just sent back stating anemia so the nurse asked me what happened to her hand and I told her that she had fell at the rehab and I was never notified. This place needs to be held accountable for the harm they are doing to the elderly. Forget about the 5 stars from employees. Look at the reviews from actual patients and family members and you’ll get a clear picture that this place does not care for its patients.

I have experienced this same response. And quite often, too! At a specific juncture; to include 1 of several attempts to check-in on my husband—early morning. My bad experience: After relaying my request; the representative disconnected our call. However I resigned, this action was accidental, for sure. Owed to great disbelief, I was compelled to make over at least five (5) attempts! Regrettably, she repeatedly continued to hang-up on me! I was not appalled. As, I have had and continue to have far too many negative to outright outrageous encounters to date! Don’t get me wrong. There are so many altruistic—born to be— caregivers at Fort Lauderdale Health & Rehab Center... —I can name them ALL‼️ B-U-T... Overall; NOT THE BEST EXPERIENCE—I can only pray; my husband of 35 years returns home quickly and at least, near-fully rehabilitated. UNFORTUNATELY... —After MANY WEEKS/months... —Little to No progress so far! Note: Good attributes do exist!

What do you need to have long term care here? My husband was here before he loved it :-)
