I am writing a bad review on each of my gmail accounts. Thats how disgusted i am at how we were treated. The staff was so rude. Truly, I’ve never in my life felt the need to write a bad review about a restaurant. I get people have staffing/retention issues. I want to be kind to people in the customer service industry, I work in it myself. This cafe rio location has turned cafe rio from my favorite restaurant into a place I’ll never go again. We asked for the chips and queso deal, and the guy helping us asked a guy in his 40’s, with brown hair, to help us out. The guy doesn’t even look at us and starts walking to the cash register. He then proceeds to start talking to different customer and gives them free food. Turns around and walks away from us, to go cook some food. We just stood there, not knowing what just happened, and then Leidi came up to ring us up. As we pull up the app for the chips and queso deal, leidi goes to bag up some other food. My food has been out of the oven the whole time this is happening. I have to point out to someone that my food was done, because they were too busy stocking the line. They finally get everything together (I thought) and the guy comes over to scan our app. He gives me my change, says have a good night and then tried to throw away receipt. I had to ask him for it. We (my partner and I) then had to lean over the counter to get our food and we had to bag it ourself. Then we get home, and he didn’t even give us the chips we ordered and the rice in the burrito is cold. I’m writing this before I even heat up my food, that’s how frustrated I am. I want my money back. I don’t think anyone should go to the Valley Fair mall cafe Rio, because they will be treated terribly.

Good selection of food. The tortillas were fresh and heated to perfection. I had the steak with chips and cheese. The restaurant was very clean and the staff very helpful.
