Every time I walk over the East trailhead bridge,i just stop for a few minutes and and enjoy the scenery.

It's pretty and quiet there are some wierd things that happen on that trail but that is johnstown in general I was always warned not to go on it alone but it's a cute little place to take a perfect sized walk

The old train tracks are flat and have a nice scenic view of the river. The waterfall near the bridge and massive rock formations highlight the other side. Great for a short walk, bike, or run. Trail between the riverside entrance and the ferndale bridge is listed as 1.2 miles.

Park in lot between river and closed gas station on the Johnstown side of the Bridge Street bridge.
