I'm on the board for a small condo property. We used Eric as our primary attorney and spent good money with him. Every time we had a tenant, parking, vendor, or guest issue and thought of a potential solution we would run it by Eric. His response was usually we can't do that or don't have the right to make a change. We had a terrible property management company as well. Between the two of them we hardly got anything resolved. We now have a new attorney (as well as new property management company) who is basically contradicting everything we were told. It is obvious the new attorney has clearly read our by-laws and understands state law as he presents us with clear documentation as to why we can implement a proposed change. I now question everything Eric did for us. Probably cost us thousands of dollars. I don't recommend his services.

As stated in their Facebook page, they all about the money like every other lawyer in this planet, they are not genuinely interested in helping any property owner......too much blah blah ...but is just the same

Best bang for the buck, very knowledgeable and with lots of experience. Very reasonable when it comes to a big job. Excellent radio show on the weekends. I attended one of his condo board certification courses and I am glad I did, I learned so many things I didn't know. I personally highly recommend this firm.

Questions & Answers

If HOA Docs state that you can only fly an "American" flag on your property, can they enforce this regulation if the American Flag is the Law Enforcement version with the dark stripes & single blue stripe?

Yes they can. The statute is very clear. Only certain flags are allowed to be flown and that does not include the Law Enforcement version.

Does an HOA have a legal right to require your social security number as well as ALL of your banking information and your income tax returns before approving your application into a community? Please answer as soon as possible. Thank you.

It all depends on what the governing documents say. There is a recent case where a judge said it was too much to ask for copies of tax returns where the documents did not say that tax returns were required.
