only reason why I gave it 2 stars is because of lack of class and respect for guests at the front desk. The lady who attend my husband and I had an attitude the whole time sense check in. Asked for two pillows and some lotion witch took almost 20 mins to get to the room and I called the front desk and was told by the same lady “ to be patient”. When I received the two pillows they gave me 4 bottles of conditioner instead of lotion. My husband ended up calling front desk and was given the same attitude regardless of there mistake. We decided to going up to sugar their top roof restaurant, my husband was told to change his shorts to jeans and when we ended up going there for dinner they ended up telling us it was $100 per person to eat. We ended up going somewhere else. Waste of money.

Autumn

I chose to stay here with my Husband for our honeymoon and the hotel looked very nice in the pictures and in person, however that was pretty much the best part. The staff was very cold and rude and seemed to be bothered any time we had a question or when we needed to check in or check out. The bellhop was very very kind and he was probably the nicest person in the whole staff. When we got to the room it was very tiny and dark. The lighting was very “modern” but too dark to be honest. They charge you for putting your own stuff in the minifridge which to me is just ridiculous. The bed had a sheet (not fitted) and a comforter. Thinking there would be a fitted sheet under that sheet that’s how we slept. In the morning we looked underneath us and there were yellow stains and little black hairs EVERYWHERE. (I am blonde and my husband is brunette) There was even a hole in it. The tv kept turning on randomly through the night and the toilet seemed to have a very hard time flushing. We notified the front desk and they gave us a $150 credit to the dinner place in the hotel on floor 5, which was kind but the cover on the bed wasn’t replaced so we canceled the rest of our stay there. It was very disappointing. The location is great, the hotel was pretty, but without good service hotel aesthetics only do so much. When checking out the lady at the front desk was trying to explain that I’d have to get my security deposit ($900) from Expedia and they couldn’t release it. Then I called Expedia and they informed me I could only get that back from the hotel. So then I had to call the hotel again and the lady said oh well yeah it’ll come back in a couple business days. There was so much confusion and I just felt like the hotel had terrible customer service. We then changed to the Kimpton Epic hotel and it’s been a fantastic experience. I wouldn’t suggest this hotel and definitely wouldn’t come back to the East Miami.
