Happy with our first vet visit.

I love everyone here. Dr. Hanson takes her time to answer all of your questions and is compassionate while honest with every aspect of care. The office staff is always friendly, even when my lunatic puppy is in a zoomie rage. I moved across town but refuse to switch vets because this place is my pet home for healthcare.

I took my aunts puppy here and the girl named Janette made my visit so welcoming and was very easy to talk to. Loved the care this clinic provided.

Such a great place to bring your pets.

Cool (NOT cold) water may be used to help cool off an overheated dog. However, there are definitely some other things to consider! If you suspect your dog is severely overheated (possible heat stroke), it is highly recommended that the dog be taken to see a veterinarian ASAP. While in the car on the way to the vet, you can apply cool compresses to the lower abdomen and have the AC blowing on high. Don't cover the dog with a wet towel as that can actually trap in heat and make things worse. Once the dog arrives at the clinic, we will continue cooling efforts, start other treatments (e.g., IV fluids), and typically run some diagnostics to assess the severity of the situation. When in doubt, don't hesitate to give us a call with questions/concerns!
We would be able to help with this. We would love to see you for an exam to discuss this further with you. You can call us at 402-421-2300.
