The gift shop is amazing! I loaded up on pickles and goodies. Back again! We just love this shop! The wonderful lady who runs it is a perfect example of NC hospitality! ❤❤❤

Depends which one you buy
No long bout a week
We actually pack a variety of products to meet a variety of consumer concerns and needs. You may be interested in our line of Simply Pickles, which uses sugar in place of high fructose corn syrup.
Hi Glenn, we don't pack a flat cut chip in retail sizes. The flat cut chips are more difficult to handle in our processes. We do still pack flat cut chips under our Little Sister institutional brand, which is largely sold to food service customers.
Mt. Olive Pickles still make these delicious recipes. Please visit the Mt. Olive Pickle website and you can use the "find a store near you" to locate specific products.
Hi Kristy. The color of the banana pepper is not an indicator of heat, just maturity. The more red, the longer the pepper grew. So if the label says Mild, the peppers are mild, regardless of color. We actually add the heat of any of our banana peppers that require it (like our Hot Banana Peppers). It makes for a more consistent product that way.
Hi Helen! Our Sweet Cubes tend to be found more in the Southeast region of the US. You can search for them by zip code on our website at https://www.mtolivepickles.com/product-locator/ You can also order from us and we'll ship you six jars per box. To order, call our gift shop at 800.672.5041.
I would call
Tighten the lid next time to avoid leaking
Garrick, neither shift will work today (Friday) or tomorrow (Saturday). Day shift starts Monday on a 2 hour delay, and night shift will report as normal Monday.
Hi Jonathan! We don't offer the 55 gallon barrels for sale to the general public. But for barrels locally you can contact Jonathan Jones, 919-921-0967.
Susan, yes. You can visit our gift shop and purchase any of our pickles by the case. Our gift shop is open 8-5 weekdays. Dill then!
Hey Tom, thanks for your note. I'll pass your comments along to our folks here.
Hi Jon, we distribute our products in the US only.
We do still pack that item! It can be hard to find at the moment, simply because we continue to struggle in meeting unusually high consumer demand. Please have patience with us as we work to bring our inventories to more normal levels. Thank you!
Betty, we discontinued our Sweet Pickle Chips years ago because of slow movement. The folks who loved that item really loved it, but there wasn't enough demand overall for us to continue packing it. Thanks for buying (and looking for) Mt. Olive.
Larressa, you can order these items by phone. Call our gift shop at 800.672.5041.
Hi Jacob. Our distribution center is open for loading from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays, and on weekend days depending on volume. We do ask that drivers arrive at our Truck Staging area at One Pickle Road, and check in by calling 919-893-6154, or by using the phone in the drivers' lounge to call Ext. 3301. We work hard to get everyone loaded and back out as quickly as possible.
We do still have this item in our product line, but it can be hard to find. It's generally a slow moving item and stores are reluctant to stock it. Two options: if you haven't already, please use our online locator to search for it near you: https://www.mtolivepickles.com/product-locator/ If you just can't find it locally, you can always order from our gift shop and we'll ship you six jars per box. To order, call our gift shop at 800.672.5041.
Jennifer, you can order our Juicers, resealable pouch items and gift packs online: www.mtolivepickles.com. For other 12 and 16 oz. items, order by phone at 800-672-5041.
Laurie, we apologize! If you haven't already, please either call our Consumer Relations line at 800-672-5041 or complete our online web form so that we can properly follow up with you: https://www.mtolivepickles.com/contact-us/concerns-product-feedback/
We do! In 64 oz. jugs and in 2oz. bottles. Order online at https://www.mtolivepickles.com/select-shop/
Call the Plant, they'll make you a deal.
Yes, we use corn-based vinegar in all of our products.
Ali, we do not export our products anywhere outside the US. We are focused on growing our business here in the US.
Leonard, the answer is no. Your pickles have apparently fermented, which can cause them to bubble and fizz sometimes when first opened. We apologize! Fermented pickles do not pose a health threat, but they won't taste very good. If you haven't already, please call us at 800.672.5041 or complete our online product concerns form at https://www.mtolivepickles.com/contact-us/concerns-product-feedback/. That way we can properly follow up with you. Thanks for letting us know!
Hi James, the answer is kosher is by far the most popular flavor of pickle. This is true across all pickle brands. That does make the plain Dill pickles harder to find - stores are reluctant to carry items that are slower movers. You can use our online locator to look for your favorite pickles near you: https://www.mtolivepickles.com/product-locator/.
U can buy it at the MT olive pickle plant
We have a partnership with the national Make a Wish Foundation
Yes, we have recently introduced our Juicers in 2 oz bottles and 64 oz jugs. Look for them in Publix and Food Lion, and on Amazon. We'll be expanding to other retailers hopefully this summer and fall!
You may want to try our Simply Pickles or organic items - these lines of products use turmeric for color rather than Yellow #5! Check them out on our website at https://www.mtolivepickles.com/products/
I see posts of soft pickles but have not had any like that. Yesterday I bought the mini kosher dills and am in love. I put them in my salads with some balsamic vinegar. Heaven.
Pickling is a fermentation process. While the brine is not fermented, the cucumber ferments in our brine. I hope this answers your question.
You actually need to gently pry the lid away from the side of the jar. N old fashioned bottle or can opener will do the trick. This breaks the seal.
Dosie, we pack our Sour pickles in a 16 oz. jar. They can be a bit hard to find, depending on where you are in the US. Use our online locator to search near you: https://www.mtolivepickles.com/product-locator/
We recommend refrigerating all of our products after opening. However, most of our products, including our regular Sweet Relish, can be left out of the fridge for a few days. Pickles don't spoil, but they may turn dark and soft, and get a bit off flavor.
Casandra, do you have our gallon Kosher Dills, or our plain Dills? Plain dills will be slightly sour, but kosher dills will be garlic flavored. Once we determine what you have, then we can go from there...or, feel free to call us directly at 800.672.5041.
Mt. Olive Pickle doesn't have any of the wood barrels for store displays. and I'm not sure where to tell you to look. But if you do serve pickles from a barrel, it should be the plain Dills or Sours - those have been fermented and will be more stable in non-refrigerated conditions.
We do pack a 16 oz. No Sugar Added Bread and Butter Sandwich Stuffer as well as a No Sugar Added Bread & Butter Spear. Use our online locator to search for them near you: https://www.mtolivepickles.com/product-locator/ If you just can't find them, you can always order from us and we'll ship you six jars of a single item per box. Call our gift shop at 800-672-5041. Thanks for buying (and looking for) Mt. Olive!
Yes! Use Mt. Olive Pickle's online locator to find them near you: https://www.mtolivepickles.com/product-locator/
We currently only distribute our products here in the US.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Fred, yes,we recommend that you keep them refrigerated once opened. Thanks for buying Mt. Olive!
I believe the question was intended as a truck driver, we sometimes would like to arrive early so we pose the question if there's overnight truck parking.
Charles, we have several hot garlic-flavored items: Hot n Spicy Kosher Dills, Jalapeno Dill Spears, Buffalo Kosher Baby Dills and Petite Snack Crunchers. You'll find a complete listing on our website at https://www.mtolivepickles.com/products/spicy-pickles/ Our Zesty Garlic Kosher Dill items don't have heat, but they are extra garlicky.
Dave, our 24 oz. Buffalo Kosher Dills are made with North Carolina-based Texas Pete. Use our online locator to find them near you: https://www.mtolivepickles.com/product-locator/
Katie, we don't have any wooden barrels.
You will have to call them for that info
We offer a tour DVD in our gift shop in place of public tours of our facilities. You can drop by the gift shop anytime between 8-5 weekdays to see the video. The gift shop is just inside our main gate. Come see us!
They don't sell the brine itself but if you need a large amount I am certain that you can work something out through the sales team.
Email or call Mt. Olive Pickle to find out or go on Amazon to see if you can order it from Amazon.
I agree with MOPC answer. Most of what we consume at home is in the refrigerator for a few weeks and are fine. We will carry some things to the 4th of July celebration tomorrow.
Jeff, from our Quality Control folks: the natural flavors used in our Mt. Olive Kosher Dill Spears do not contain any corn products directly added, e.g. corn oil; however, the carrier for the flavor may be derived from corn sourced material.
They have a visitor building with a video documentry/tour and cute giftshop. Everyone gets to pick a free jar of pickles/peppers too! And they have a sign outside that makes a good photo op. Our family enjoyed the quick visit.
You can order online
She is mentioned in the official program, Mt Olive Centennial Commission from 1970
Call or email them. They can tell you if you're near a store that sells it.
You can look on their website and find out the different varieties of pickles and the size of jars, some are available by case or half a case.
I have load of cucumbers now.. Coming from Georgia...
Go to thier site, or ask them.
I hope not
No tours but a neat little gift shop and a video about them to watch. Plus the sign for photo ops. A nice little stop if you are passing by the town anyways. They gave everyone in my group a free jar of pickles!
There are video tours and a gift shop
