Can I get promoted before leaving for basic training?

Yes you can! With a bachelors degree you will be eligible for enlisted pay grade E-4. We can also promote others to E-3, some requirements will need to be met. Pay chart below https://www.goarmy.com/benefits/money/basic-pay-active-duty-soldiers.html

I have a man interested in military service and I am recommending that he take his ASVAB and MEPS physical as soon as possible so he has his test scores so he can see what jobs he actually qualifies for. Do you guys still give a practice ASVAB?
