First off i we have been going here for years and no problems. Well a month ago we booked are sites online for the dates of august 27 through the 29. We booked to stay here to watch the launch to go off on the 29.Family coming from out of state to watch this. Well last night around 530 ish they called and cancelled are sites cause we had rv sites and was actually being in a tent. Why is it okay for them to call less then 24 hours to cancel are two sites but if I was to cancel I would still be charged. Also we booked two sites a month ago they should have reached out to us then and say sorry u booked a rv site instead of a tent site not the night before(less then 24 hours) to say the canceled are rspv. The lady Helen was so rude to my husband when she called to inform us. Yes we are upset I mean we book something a month ago and at home packing all of are stuff to go out for the weekend the next day. And was informed that we can’t go now. So today we called and asked why the guy Steve responded that we had booked on rv sites and we can’t put tents on rv sites. When we told him we booked online everything went through charged for two nights a month ago got confirmation e-mail everything was ok. And asked why can this go through his respond was the booking site sucks we have been complaining about this for awhile. Well u Al need to fix this and our lesson is don’t book through there website call and book which they never answer when u call. So here sit with a upset 9 year old boy that can’t watch the launch which he was looking forward too all cause of the mix up.I highly recommend u guys to reach out and confirm ur rsvp when made not the night before. And not have ur employees blame the website.also no email saying cancel sites and still no refund

They offer a discount for monthly stays. This park has a large seasonal population and it is a great place to see rocket launches, reservations are recommended.
Water access is very limited. Fishing from pier only kayak and canoe can be launched. Dog park open but soggy. Office and store still in recovery hall. Handicap bath near pool still closed. Many sites still closed off. Water draInage is poor so sites are soggy after rain. The heat and humidity is near unbearable. Pool is well over 80 degrees and not particularly refreshing or good for cooling off.

If the gate is rolled closed, it is not locked. One can roll it open, come on in and close behind you, provided you have made reservations and you know what site you should be in.
We are looking to stay 2-3 months in January. 2 people 29 ft travel trailer full hookup. Also looking for wifi since some of the time my husband will be working. Can you accommodate that?

The tent sites have an unobstructed view of the river. There is a dog park, clean bathrooms. Grocery , shopping very close.ALSO..tent sites are not hard to get.Seasonal is most hard if you trailer camp

I'm not sure, I only stayed about 3 weeks. Try calling and asking. Sometimes all you have to do is leave for a night and then come back. They tend to have you move sites frequently.

Yes, camping year round, but longest stay at one time is six months. Call office for pricing. A most beautiful and peaceful place, but do bring the kids 😁 They can ride and walk, skate board, etc on paved road running thru park. Volleyball net, great swimming pool, dog park fenced, long pier onto the river, etc. Clean restrooms and showers, great dining and stores nearby⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Limits are about 5 months and around $600 per month if I remember correctly. But park is beautifully kept, and they continue to make improvements to it. Has a great dog park by the water that's part sun, part shade.a nice pier to fish from or just observe. Perfect for watching space launches too !

I'd recommend calling them. They are very helpful! You will definitely enjoy the campground and it has a wonderful location. Very close to everything without feeling like it.
You can bring a fire pit pit or rent a dryer drum but no fires on the ground
Campsites are designed to hold 1 camper or 2 tents no larger than 150 square ft each. Maximum of 6 individuals and 2 vehicles. Call for additional people to make sure they can be accommodated. Hope this helps.

Due to hurricanes to try to reopen the parks as soon as possible lot of wind and rain damage and might be open
We went to site they told us will be open probably on 9/26 but could be more they had damage power lines and fallen trees. They said by the time they start aswering the phone you're good to go.
