Hertz Car Rental - Melbourne International Airport (MLB)

Worst experience renting a car in my life, flew to MLB from the UK for a vacation with my wife and 3 kids, already had a car booked for pick up at Harbour City Hertz but due to the plane being delayed we didn’t arrive until after they had closed, therefor had to rent another car for 24 hours from MLB Airport, after being charged nearly $600 because I used a debit card I returned the car only to find that a further $140 has been take from my account 2 days later yet no body at the counter when I returned the car said anything about any extra charges, I have been in contact with them only to be told that I have been charged mileage on fuel even though I was told when I collected the car the mileage was unlimited and I also returned the car with a full tank. Never again will I ever use Hertz or recommend them to anyone. Worst rental company out there

After waiting 30 minutes for Maxine to deal with 1 couple in front of us to finally getting seen then to be told you don’t have a booking with us I showed her the paperwork for hertz booking to be told this happens all the time you need the hertz in town which is now closed 5pm on a Friday & don’t open up again till Monday Maxine was absolutely no help at all she even stopped the guy from dollar renting me a car so I was stuck at the airport no taxis about until the guy from enterprise rented me one for the weekend at $360 ( that’s enterprising) I was stuck ? Never will I use hertz again

scammy place. they will sneak fees and charges onto your card without your knowledge or consent. known for overselling car rentals, so you probably won’t get that rental you already paid for. cherry on top, they falsely report stolen cars and land the innocent customer in financial and legal troubles. shame on Hertz and this location. go to enterprise.
