Date: Summer 2022 This is a beautiful park with some great memorials. I didn't have the time to look at them all in detail and plan on returning to do so. The park is by the river across from launch sites, therefore a great stop if you're in the area for a launch, or near by just cause.

But we still have one last task to do. In 2013 I met the German-Romanian rocket engineer Hans-Peter Bruckner here. We had dinner together at Gregory's, a steakhouse run by a former German family. Hans told about his story at Cape Canaveral which has nothing to do with the Wernher von Braun team. That was amazing. Today we want to know what became of him. A visit to the owner Jutta quickly brought clarity. Bruckner passed away in 2016 at the age of 91. She gave us the invitation to the funeral service and told us about a memorial in Titusville. So we visit Space View Parc at the historic steamboat dock near downtown Titusville. And indeed, there is an engraved stone with the inscription HP (Al) Bruckner. This is on the north side of the Mercury Monument. Now it is clear what Bruckner was doing here. The stone also reveals that Bruckner was a member of the Air Force Base. He can also be seen next to a Delta rocket on his sympathy card. Some research work is still needed here. The results will be published in the Space Concrete.
