You will need titles for both vehicles and your NC driver's license. If memory serves, you also need to show proof of insurance. If you are name is not the only one on the title, I believe you need to both be present.

You should turn in tag. Just drop it off at Atlantic Ave. address. Don't stand in line. Just go in and drop it off at counter or call them and maybe they will send you an envelope to return it in.

Yeah, take your passed inspection paper and tell them you need to renew your tags. If you owe property tax, you will be charged and have to pay or they won't renew. Make sure you have your license plate number as well (a old registration card works well, because it has all the info they need, as well as your proof of insurance). Hope this helps!

There is no Appt. The sooner you get there the quicker you get through the process. I'm not sure of everything that you need to transfer a title. The last time I did this all needed was my ID, the title and the money to register the car in the new name.
