We have been using GFL trash service and recycling for our rental home while we are building. Our trash pickup is on Monday. They did not pick up on Monday so we left the trash at the end of our driveway thinking that maybe they were behind or would pick up another day this week because of unforeseen circumstances. After 4 days of no trash pick up, I called GFL to see when they were picking up and they told me that they would pick it up on Monday. I asked if we could get a credit for no service this week and they refused since I didn’t contact them within one day. Poor customer service and policy for a customer that was intending on using them for our new build. The money isn’t the issue…. it is the lack of commitment to customer satisfaction and not trying to make the situation right. I didn’t even get an apology for lack of service. J. Evans Hampstead, NC

I wish I had read the reviews. It was a nightmare utilizing GFL for home back door service. I ordered and paid for three months. I canceled it 5 weeks early. Five of the seven weeks when I kept the service, they did not pick up my trash. I had to call every week to beg them to get my trash. Twice I had to pull trash out of the container and take to the dump. Please save yourself the AGGRAVATION and find another service. There are others!

I have called 5 times about the same issue—my recycling is not getting picked up. I’ve been dismissed, it was implied I was at fault, then reassured they found the issue and corrected it… still. 4 weeks and no rectification, including two “special pick ups” to pick up my overflowing can. They claimed I was put on the wrong route but when I first signed up for service they took it no problem. Whatever the issue, the people behind the scenes do not have it together and have been unable or unwilling to fix the problem. Very frustrating.

They bought out Pink Trash in my area. Since they've done that they have raised prices 30% without informing you and now they pick up less trash. Avoid.
