So first the good: the staff is very friendly and this is the cleanest most well organized Restore I've ever seen. Now the bad. Like most Restores and Thrift shops in general lots of items have a standard and totally reasonable price. Books, movies, etc. The problem is the individually priced stuff. It's WAY OVERPRICED. I think what they do is look things up on eBay but don't actually check sold listings. They just check currently listed. Then they find the highest price for that item and that's the price they put on it. The problem is, of course, just because that's what someone is asking doesn't mean it's worth that. You have to check the sold listings. They also seem to overlook key differences when pricing. For example, there's a SanDisk MP3 player in the case for $30. Look up SanDisk MP3 player on ebay and guess what? The top result is the same price. Problem is that one is 32GB and the one in the case is only 4GB. That's a huge difference. They really should be more mindful that even their new items are still second hand goods and pricing items based on online prices provides deeper research and more nuance. One thing is for sure: If their prices were more reasonable I would spend a lot more money here. There are several things every time I go that I would buy but what's the point if I can get it for better and cheaper online?

Great place. I can usually find what I need. I went the other day to try to find a carry-on suitcase for my upcoming trip and there it was. And what a bargain at five dollars. And I love that it goes to such a good cause.

This site has a huge selection of items, reasonable prices, is in a good location, and the store looks great since they remodeled. I only gave 4 out of 5 stars, though, because some of their staff is unfriendly--even rude at times.

What agency would be able to help a homeowner fix their roof

Thank you for asking! Unfortunatly we don't do roofs at this time due to safety concerns. You may want to reach out to faith organizations, the city or the county for assistance. With the government grants there should be some help. Also try the North Carolina Housing Finance Authority.
