They pick and choose when they want to answer the phone . So then you have to drive up there to find out they cut your water off by mistake 😡 literally cannot stand this place !!!!! 🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼

I think it's poor public assistance when the public cannot look online nor go into the office and get a fee schedule to see what the fees for the county water system are; ie. meter installation; new service, deposits, etc.

Unfortunately the absolute WORST utility company I have ever used. Unfortunate for me this is the water company used in m y area. Could use a huge update to their website as well as some serious customer service training for the employees. Customer service goes A LONG way, I know at times there can be people you just cant please...but the majority of the time a touch of kindness will go a long long way in guiding how that customer interaction goes! The fact that everyone I know who uses this company has had equally bad experiences as myself & in some instances worse experience screams volumes!! Get it together Columbus County Public Utilities!!!! You guys can do better!!!

When I decided to relocate to this area of Columbus County NC, I had no idea that getting water would the worst experience ever. I had been living in the town of Cerro Gordo and received a notice of the town was about to add public water and all residents would have to pay for the tap in process to get water this was years ago so I waited . I went and purchased a mobile home and was hoping that the water would be in my area. I wanted water for my new home but I had to pay $$ so I did, thinking that the water would be complete by the time my home arrived, it wasn’t and this office of utilities could not give me any answers of when it would, I waited and waited til I got tired of looking at my home that I could not move into because of the fact you must have water. So I got a well dug and got water . I don’t need the public water so I asked for a refund I’m still waiting . No answers as of today and I’m going to the governor and I hope they learn some customer service skills they needs course. I rate them as incompetent . They need help
