I wanted to use "credits" that I keep getting e-mails about but was told I had to go into the "system" and enter my account info and then a password. To do this I was told go into my e-mail vie my phone - which I never do. I did not have my account code nor the password even if I did get in. All I want to do in go into the service area, give them my name and have them pulll up my credits and apply them to my service bill. This was an impossibility. I ended up paying almost $100 for a simple, $30 oil change. Not worth the trouble to try and use credits I can't get to to have my car serviced at GMC Service Center. I'll use a more easy to use local company for the rest of my car care.

The short answer is yes, depending on how old your car is. If you have the 'switchblade' type key fob, you can order them online and then have an independent lock and key smith cut the blade for you. It has cuts on both sides so it takes a special cutter to do it. The fob you can program in about 30 seconds. Watch the YouTube video on how to program a GM fob. Basically, you put the key in the ignition and turn it on, the car programs the fob for you. Don't let service people tell you they have to do it for big dollars. Also, GM won't allow dealers to cut the key blades anymore because they had a problem with the ignition lock not releasing the key and people would break off the blade. So, rather than do the right thing and recall the faulty ignition locks, they now send you the key and fob separately. So, you have two things to carry instead of one.
Currently, face masks are still required to enter the building and are required during test drives. Walk ins are welcome, but it may delay test driving a vehicle as we are sanitizing all vehicles before and after test drives. We recommend setting an appointment as we will have the vehicle clean upon your appointment time. Our building is being professionally sanitized every morning prior to our building opening and all high use areas are being sanitized continually throughout the day. Customer safety is of utmost importance to us. We can also handle a vast majority of all the initial paper work over the phone or online.
