I was one of the first people to sign up for this gym when it opened here in Newbury. The people were nice, it was close and I hardly ever crowded. However, all that changed. Eventually they only gave me the time of day when I wanted to sign up for personal training. I tried it for one week $70 for two 45min sessions. I thought it was 70 for month or twice a month, so I canceled it because it was more than I could afford at the time. Then the gym got increasingly crowded. It's a small gym with not that much equipment, I don't think they planned for so many people to be in there at once. Finally, I canceled my membership when I found out I had cancer and had to go into treatment and couldn't go to gym any more. But way after a month, I was still being charged my monthly membership fee. I called that credit card company and told them to dispute transaction. A week later I got charged $70 five times in 15mins! on another of my card, the card that I used to try to personal training a year before. I called the that credit card company and they said to cancel my card and they would issue me a new one, also to call the Better Business Bureau, which I did. I was so happy when they opened, because before that I had to drive all the way to Solon to go to Planet Fitness. I had no problem canceling with them. Newbury doesn't have much and was surprised to see a gym finally come. I'll be 60 soon and never thought I'd see the day when something like this would happen to me.

Colin is my absolute favorite and he's the boss /Coachnow, so he doesn't do the classes any more, unless he fills in for another Trainer. That's new from the past management. Matt is great. He teaches classes as a Trainer/Coach. He really pushes you. Today I showed up for class and nobody else did. Matt asked what areas I wanted to concentrated on and created a weight work-out for me. Each time I did another set, the weigh mysteriously increased. He pushed me. He's great and I really like the group of ladies and men I work out with.

This is a wonderful place with great staff and other patrons. I have met some great people and made many friends! I have never heard any shaming or bad talking. Everyone is always encouraging and helpful.

Anytime Fitness in Newbury is the best gym I’ve ever been to! The people are so nice and welcoming. The trainers are patient and understand each clients goals. The trainers are knowledgeable, consistent and encouraging. I’m happy to be a member of the Anytime Fitness gym in Newbury. Also, it’s nice to have a clean gym to workout at.
