This is the 3rd 4th of July I've been to and they always have fresh new races. I love the fugue 8 races they do it brings an incredible excitement I wasn't expecting.
Food and drink were pricey but still not as much as a M's or Hawks game.
The fireworks show was impressive, long and not just your basic boom city packages. Very much worth the $25 entry and kids under 5 are free!

The Dream Builders car show was a great family event. Food, music, kids games and lots and lots of cars and motorcycles.

So cool going to the fair for the first time since I was a kid. Man were things pricey though. Still a wonderful experience.

It was super fun! I would highly recommend going there! All the staff are super polite and they go out of their way to make sure you have an amazing experience! If your kid likes animals definitely bring them along! Fun for the whole family!! <3
I would honestly not think so. I doubt it very much. I work for the Speedway and do security for the Fair, there's just now televised races no spectators, and there's no fair.
Yes. You can bring any food you'd like in. Many people bring ice chests (I did today). I've even seen people bring in pizza and birthday cake for a party

Not for speedway, but there are discount admission prices for 62+ seniors and kids. I believe it is 16 yo and under. And there are some free admissions for August.
Well i ate my 4 typical fair foods
Corn on the cob - Lack of enough butter
Turkey Leg - Dry with no sauce except the sauce condiment
Curly Fries - Seemed like scraps
Scone with raspberry jam - Perfect as usual
In my humble opinion three mistakes out of four just doesn't cut it
I've been coming to this fair for over 20 years and never had an experience like this.
Friday August 31st is US military and First responders day. Free admission for them and dependants when showing valid ID. Military includes : Active, retired, reserve, disabled, and veterans

The fair hours are from 10 am to 11 pm, except the last day which closes at 7, I think.
Been going to that fair for 40 plus years and nobody's ever been hurt on a ride there yet the companies out of Oregon and they have a pretty good record
The fairgrounds does have camping on the east side of the fairgrounds near the race track. If you go to the website you can make reservations. It is not camping in the traditional sense it's basicly a grass field, I can't remember if any of the spots have hookups.
Admission is free for 5 and under or 90 and over. Youth prices for six years to 15 years is $8. 16 years - 61 years is $12 senior citizens, 62 - 89 years $8
If you bought tickets for a concert at the fair, do you have to pay to get into the fair as well? Or does the concert ticket gain your fair entry as well? Thanks in advance.
It is always open at 10 a.m. But check the calendar they have discount days or get in free with a donation day. If you get here early enough you can watch them feed the live stock.
The Fairgrounds are open until 10pm and the carnival is open until 11pm. Saturday Aug 26th is race night, come and watch the races and enjoy the Evergreen State Fair!

I have 3 general admission adult tickets for $10 each. They originally cost 12 bucks each at the fair.
