Yes, it’s Carmel Valley. Overpriced food is the norm. But frankly, being assaulted by Orchestral remixes of Despacito and other, similarly unbearable pop hits while eating a mediocre $41 short rib with the most overbuttered risotto (yes! restaurants can in fact add too much butter! who knew?) I’ve ever had - it was a little insulting. I felt like an idiot. And, well, if I ran a culinary establishment, I would try and avoid making my customers feel stupid. +1 for the perfectly wine mom-esque cursive “Be thankful” sign outside of the bathroom. Simply elegant. Edit: Want to just add that the service was great. I wish no ill will on our wonderful waiter. But to the ownership: let’s work a little harder; the service staff shouldn’t be the only great thing about a restaurant.
