Service is down. Still waiting on travel pay from July 5th. The lady in travel tells me that they are still processing in June payments. We about to be in September. The New Orleans VA is not servicing veterans in the matter that we deserve. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Once I was proud to be a NOLA VA patient. Been going here since 1978 and things have really become impersonal. Don't bother to learn your doctor's name because you'll get a new primary care physician every year. Each new doctor wants to put you through the same routine every time--they don't have the time to learn you through your file. It's like a production line now. Everyone is nice, but it's become impersonal...an assembly line. Things have changed at the VA I once loved. Maybe the problem is specifically in the women's clinic.

It's all there, but you have to go get what you need.

I used to work in HR for the VA up north. Yes, there are jobs for Veterans and there are special hiring authorities that allow VA to circumvent typical rules and regs abs easily hire Vets depending on pay grade and the position. Check out listings on USAJobs.gov or call the NOLA facility and ask for Human Resources. Best of luck, thank you and WELCOME HOME.
No just walk in
Call the VA and ask for information help desk or compensation dept. He should quality for full coverage.
2400 Canal Street is the only VA facility in NOLA that I am aware of.
There's nothing that I know of from the VA. You need to try the Housing Authority of New Orleans. You can't apply online. It is all a paper process.
Bravo same here-- have never seen anyone in pool, few using equipment and when I had treatment was inform of limited visits (!!) so my view of the place was true --what in the heck goes on there ? When I passed the desk /work area quite a few personnel looking at computers --and me--- not spying but I must have looked too much and saw most were like zombies.

If you are referring to their ER, yes they are open 24/7.
Yes. It is open 24/7 located on the 2nd floor and has its own patient parking lot as well.
The Emergency Room is not yet opened. It is a Urgent Care Clinic open 8am to 5pm Monday-Friday.
