Very dissatisfied with the way this facility is managed. Apparently it is acceptable practice to place a wheelchair bound resident unaccompanied by an aid onto a transportation van that takes the resident to a Drs visit. Since there is no trained aid accompanying the resident to transfer from wheelchair onto and off the toilet, that resident cannot use the bathroom for the 4.5+ hours the trip and appointment take and must sit in a wet pullup till returned to the facility. This has not happened just once, it has happened THREE times since May. The entire staff at the Drs office were upset about this, and the people in the waiting room that were aware of what HH did were visibly shocked. I made sure they knew which facility the resident was from. A call to the DON has gone unanswered.

Don't send you love one there. They will not respect the your love one. A nurse named ROSINA should not be a nurse!!! My love one is being treated with no respect. This place should be CLOSED DOWN.

My mothers stay was okay but there was aide that needs to learn that this is her job to take care of the residents without the attitude towards doing her job. And further more, whoever that nurse was that was being rude and cruel towards my mother needs to be fired, her attitude is unacceptable and ghetto. I said what I meant and I meant what I said.

Hello - our posted visiting hours are 8 am - 8 pm, however, you are welcome to visit any time. Please see the receptionist to make arrangements to get into the building after the front doors are locked at 8 pm. Thank you.
Dear Francine - thank you for your inquiry. Harris Hill Nursing Facility does not feature a secured memory care unit; however, we do featured a secured memory care unit at our Northgate Health Care Facility located on Nash Road in North Tonawanda. Although we don't feature a secured unit at Harris Hill, our staff is trained to understand the needs of those with dementia, as many of the long-term residents in our care experience memory loss. If you would like to set up a private tour at either of our facilities, please contact our Admissions Coordinators at (716) 632-3700 for Harris Hill and (716) 694-7700 for Northgate. Thank you.
