I am a real estate agent that is purchasing my own home and I used American Chimney Service to inspect the chimney in a house I would like to purchase. During the regular home inspection it was noted the furnace had pieces of the inside of the chimney in it so I wanted to get it inspected by a company that had CSIA certified techs. Doug did not disappoint. He was knowledgeable, experienced, very professional and extremely patient. He wanted to make sure I understood exactly what the hazards were and what the solution was. Had their team come in to inspect the chimney in my newly purchased home. Discovered that the HVAC system was a complete mess. These guys were professional, fairly priced, and explained every single issue and repair every step of the way. They've come back twice now - once to fix an issue caused by my roofer (not their fault & they still fixed it) & once just to re-explain the chimney system & options for upgrading it (the house is 100 years old.) I could not recommend them more.
