We just spent 5 days camping at the campground and went to the store several times. They have ice, firewood, oyster pick up, kites, some booze and mixers, cigarettes, stickers, t-shirts and everything else you didn't know you needed. The prices are reasonable also.

Super good store. Just needs a little more cool snacks . However the ice cream 🍦 selection was awesome. The oysters where great for 22 buck a pound . The beach and authenticity has been a staple of nor cal for generations. Super fun place . Kite flyers dream

This is a great place for dry camping. The Sea Wall area has some amazing views. Especially at Sunrise and Sunset. We will definitely be coming back real soon.

Is this park open for day picnics

Yes! I recommend going online to check the hours on the day you want to go and also buying a parking permit online to make sure you can get in that day. We just went sunday to fish and picnic, it was open and wonderful.

Is there an actual boat launch here? How is it done? Do i launch myself or there is assistance? How are the tide levels here? Is there a fee for launching a boat? What size boat can i launch here?

There is a sand/beach boat launch, your options are to try to launch yourself, but you'll need four wheel drive because of the sand, or you can pay them to launch your boat for $5 (if I remember correctly). The tide varies drastically depending on the time of year, but they have all of that information in the office. And as far as the size of boat, they have launched everything from little 10 ft to 30 ft boats, majority being around 15 to 20 ft. Hope this helps.
