My son is having to work but isn’t being paid during the shutdown. I asked the Charlotte Observer if they knew if anyone had set up distribution of food to Fed workers during the shutdown. They. Said you would starting Saturday from 2-4.

Second Harvest distributes to agencies which then distribute to the public. They may be able to tell you the distributing agency in your area😊

I would suggest you contact Second Harvest directly for guidance.
Hi Latasha, I honestly have no idea what documents are required in order to receive the help. I'm from Sc and was only there too volunteer with the WWP. But if I'm not mistaken all you mostly need is an ID, proof of residence (mostly a bill showing where you're head of household), and if you have any children you'll probably need their SSN's. Plus you have to live within the county. If you have any other questions I advise giving them a call.
I know area agencies can shop there but I don't know the process to get signed up for it. Not sure if individuals can shop there or not. I'd suggest you check their website for contact info if you don't get a response here. They're great folks to work with in my experience.
I have some can food, cereals, and a bit of everything (nothing opened) but want to give it to ppl who really need it n not have to apply and wait to b approved.where could I take it?
