With all the talk about how badly blood donations are needed, I accompanied my husband to his appointment. I was going to give blood, but an entirely empty of donor facility was 'too busy' to take a pint from me. I call BS on their reply. The place was empty!!! This is only one example of these people clocking in but not working. My husband waits EVERY TIME he goes in to be both hooked up and disconnected causes a 2 hour service to take more like 2 1/2 hours. The workers just ignore him. When a person is GIVING you something, the least you can do is show some courtesy and gratitude.

I brought my husband here to donate. We have sat inside together for an hour before it was his turn. I have seen other donators spouses in there however they were unclear of the policy. One lady said that it was strictly confidential and then another kicked me out to wait in the car because they “guess the restrictions have not been uplifted”. I was frustrated about the logic and poor communication.

Professional, fast, painless. I had an excellent experience today, everyone was so friendly and warm. I’ll be back in 56 days!

Same here. I have only donated whole blood here.
As far as I know, they usually accept walk-ins for whole blood. They're pretty busy with platelets on weekends. They'll still take whole blood without an appointment weekends. The wait can be longer if you catch them at the wrong time.
According to the Red Cross Blood Donor app, it is acceptable for you to donate "if you were vaccinated for influenza, tetnus or meningitis, providing you are symptom-free and fever-free."
Yes
