I appreciate the care that my mother is receiving at Danby House. They are undergoing a major renovation and have been thru several directors in the past year, but hopefully with Shane's direction they are on the right path. My mother seems to like it here and is well taken care of. The staff they have now work well together and have always been kind and nice to my mother and myself. This may change, but for now until we pay the staff better for what they do there will always be turnover. I appreciate everything this staff does to keep my mother comfortable. The new renovations, paint, flooring, fixtures, will be great when completed in August.

Just horrible all the workers are rude they don’t help you Don’t care if you hurt your back or not. Want you to pick up a two person asst. when you can’t. Won’t give you the items you need help with to make your job easier and better for the people. Everyone shares bedsheets, socks, clothes, diapers. They clothes always get lost and they don’t tell the family members where they went they act like they don’t know. They rooms look horrible and be aware of the show room the pictures you see is what you get. The kitchen has roaches inside the walls they have bed bugs they let the people sleep with dead spiders in the beds. Zero stars I WOULD BRING MY WORST Enemy here. just horrible managers.

NEVER trust this place with your precious loved one! worst facility I've ever seen! My mother had an injury to the first finger on her left hand that the nurse practitioner saw that morning and started oral antibiotics (this was very poor treatment because she needed to be sent out to the hospital immediately). Thankfully I went by around lunch time and noticed how infected her hand was with swelling all the way to her elbow and her fingers were blue with no circulation. I couldn't tell you how many staff members (numerous) saw mom's hand and NEVER once suggested that she go to the ER. I rushed Mom to the ER where they did emergency surgery on her. The doctor said that she was septic and would have died if I hadn't gotten her there right away. Mom spent 15 days in ICU and had to have another hand surgery. She never fully recovered. She now lives in a nursing home and can't walk sure to this facilities lack of basic care.
