It's a beautiful walk with the trail going between the river and canal, shady with lots of trees and wildlife everywhere. Off the main trail there is a smaller trail that runs along the river, areas with benches and picnic tables, and plenty of sights to keep the kids excited.

A beautiful place, close to Augusta. The paths are wide enough for walkers and cyclists. One of my favourite places to go.

Well shaded trail, clean. The walk is mostly flat, very easy for beginners and for bicycles.

You can park at Lake Olmstead near downtown, or at Eisenhower Park off of Washington Rd, or if you are in Columbia County you can park at Savannah Rapids. All of these have full parking lots and 2 have bathrooms
