This was our 2nd visit and enjoyed it a lot. Our Grandkids were not on this trip so we enjoyed some down time quiet time. Some friends who were there had their kids and they had a blast on the bouncy thing and the arcade. The campground treated us to lunch on Saturday for appreciation to the campers. They had Bingo on the deck and it was free to everyone. After Bingo they had a movie for the kids which we watched from our chairs at the camper. All the employees were nice and helpful and very family oriented. Can’t wait for the next visit hopefully with the grandkids. My grandson had me take his stuffed Bigfoot on vacation and I had to take some pictures of him having fun! It was a great trip!

Some things for the kids to do and close enough to the zoo. Staff was friendly. Fire pits at all the sites. Our campsite was very sandy. If you stay here make sure to ask for a grassy site. They seemed much nicer.

Very nice campground, exceptional staff !!!! Helped my wife and myself during a medical emergency. I can't express how much I appreciate all their help.

We visited this campground on sites 33 & 20 a total of 4 times in 2022 and while site 20 is our favorite for our 40ft TT, we think we would enjoy them all. They have all the ammenities of a KOA without the rediculous KOA pricing of which we thoroughly appreciate and hope they continue with. All upper sites are equipped with FHUs and unless they are super busy, you will have plenty of space - just do your homework on your site picking. Our 4yo nephew loooves their play areas and pools. The owners and staff are extremely nice and the grounds are well kept. We are semi-local with only a 90min drive, but we have deemed this CG one of our favorites and plan to continue to return for many years to come. They are super convenient to the NC Zoo with only a 15min drive for a day of adventure. Our only ‘con’ is the road noise which is no fault to the campground - the locals seem to think the highway is for qualifing and rev their engines as they fly by all hours of the day and night - the campground has done what they can to dampen the noise with a tree line, but we all know that doesn’t solve the issue…🤷♀️ The troopers just need to monitor a little more in our opinion, but that’s the case for many other roads as well. Just be safe and turn up the tv and ignore it like we do 🤪 Happy Camping folks!
