First of all let me say, I do not write reviews. That said, I am writing one because Hilton Head Solar deserves a GREAT review. The entire process from start to finish was the best experience. Remember, this is a construction project. Many things can go wrong. There were a couple of speed bumps due to outside sources. HHS took care of them in a timely and professional manner. They have stayed in contact after the installation to be sure that their system is working as planned. We couldn't be happier. If you are thinking of going solar, you need to talk to these guys!

Now that I have had my solar system for three months I can now give an honest review. As a person who values my money I did an intense research for solar, I had maybe three companies come out to give their so called quotes. I wanted renewable energy not a loud gas sucking generator, especially with the rising fuel cost. I called my electric company and they recommended Hilton Head Solar, so I gave them a call. I was not disappointed! Their high tech equipment was awesome; they didn’t even have to come to my house to work up a quote unlike other companies. Doug was very patient with me because I was nervous about this purchase, for one this is a big investment for my home and a big junk of money to be paid. Their customer service is top notch. I cannot tell you how many times I have called to ask questions and sometimes I wasn’t on the extremely friendly side either. Nevertheless their staff never wavered and remained friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about any issues I had. HHS has all the up to date solar equipment and even with the shortage they still had a great inventory and finished my installment on time. Another thing I found to be awesome is that they are a local company and I know where they are located. Even after three months of having my solar I had an issue with my roof, I called HHS and they sent their head technician right out to look at my roof. I was impressed he came over after hours to make sure he inspected the roof and put my mind at ease. Stated he would be back to fix the minor issue for free, now if that’s not top notch and good quality control. There are a couple of more items for solar I would like and I will not be going anywhere else but HHS. Solar is a big step for any homeowner, make sure to go with the right company!

Hilton Head Solar installed my 17 panels with all electrical hook ups in one day last year. They were very professional from coming to start the project on time to measuring accurately to install the panels and a complete clean up when done.They estimated extra panels based on my usage to handle 100% of usage. After one year, my electrical usage Dropped from $77 a month to $5 a month,. I highly recommend Hilton Head Solar to everyone out there looking to install solar panels to there home.

Overall my experience with Hilton Head Solar was pretty positive. I had already torn off the rotten roof to my carport and I had already purchased most of the materials. However, due to the number of renovations on the house and the scope of the carport project I enlisted HHS to do the replacement including new joists, OSB, ice and water water, and shingles. Their crew was very efficient until I noticed they had punched through the ceiling in a couple places. Although it was upsetting I more or less attributed the error to the manner in which the house was constructed. I informed them that with my expertise I could make the minor repairs needed in exchange for negotiating a small discount. If it wasn't for this one small issue I would gladly have provided a 5 star review here. I was impressed they got the job done in one day and upon my own inspection was a pretty quality installation. I don't usually mention individual names in reviews but I need to note how on top of things Jordan and how on top of things he was, even through the little mishap. I was VERY impressed. Good job guys!
