To purchase a shotgun or rifle as a non-resident of New York you just need a valid government ID such as a drivers license and pass the NICS background check. You can only pick up rifles and shotguns as a non-resident, not handguns or “other” firearms

We conduct FBI NICS Background checks on every serial number leaving the store.

NYC residents need a residence premise license from 1 police plaza. The process is lengthy. Google the process and start applying or you can go into the shop and they will help you with the process for a fee

Yes you apply in queens pretty easy to get as long as you don’t have a record , be sure to have any tickets or fines paid and shouldn’t take more than 8 months to get your Liscence

Just take a trip right to the shop, pick out your rifle, and they'll go through the background check process with you. Make sure to bring your driver's license or other state issued ID.
