President Reagan signed the federal legislation that requires states to have judges that give hearings upon request after 72 hours. The hearing means the patient wants to be set free and the psychiatric profession wants to make a profit. The number of judges is very limited. That's the way the taxpayers need it to be. They do not have to do anything out of the ordinary such as answer letters. The normal rule of thumb for judges is "No crime no incarceration".

My girlfriend hates this place. She wrote a complaint to Assistant Attorney General Gary G. Williams highlighting Judge Darby's coruption yet never even received a letter in return. Then she wrote letter to the Attorney General who said he would pass it down to the assistant attorney General yet she has heard nothing back. She said she believes judge Darby discriminates against her disability.
