Thanks to the wonderful staff at the Haywood County Animal Shelter, we now have an amazing new family member. Her name is Maddie, and they had her ready for us. She was well groomed, fed, up-to-date vaccinations and spayed to begin her new life with us. We could not be more pleased or thankful.

Just went and found my new friend at the shelter. Everyone was very nice, the animals are clearly being treated well, and they were very helpful! My new cat and I couldn't be happier!

They do their best. Not always accurate on dog age but likely due to folks not being honest when dumping multiple litters off on them at once

Had to give up a cat after a death in the family. They were very helpful and understanding.

I have the same question. I have neighbors who do the same thing and the weather has changed and gotten colder.
They have Wonderful Dogs waiting to meet you. The Shelter opens at 12 Noon
Yes!!
HAWA in Waynesville, across the Frog Level train tracks, will spay and neuter for $5.00! That's who neutered 3 of my cats! Just Google HAWA for more information!
Can also give them a call, they will gladly offer answers for all your questions. I hope you find the puppy your heart is seeking ❤️
I'm not sure. I just dropped a dog off there and they were very nice and welcoming
Who's Florence?
No, but you have to attend several training class to qualify.
Sometimes. Gotta come by and check
Take them to the shelter!
The Haywood County Animal Shelter seems to be more forgiving when it comes to home situations! We've gotten dogs and cats from them with wonderful results! Pray about it, too! The Lord will always help us when we pray with a humble heart and we humans are supposed to care for the helpless little creatures! I hope this helps, I hope you're able to get the furbaby meant for you and I hope y'all enjoy a happy life together!
HAWA in Waynesville has them. $3 for dogs under 40 lbs.. $6 for over 40 lbs
They are strays are owener surrounded
Maybe they were closed when you called. They don't work 24 hours a day and possibly not on weekends.
They are a no kill. And they are awesome.
Check the website at pet finder. There was a yorkie there this morning (Monday March 6th)
I don't know but they do kill the animals that aren't adopted.
Yes - in my opinion that is wrong. At best it's neglect, at worse it's abuse. Have you talked to the owners? Offer to take the dog if that is something you can do - or encourage them to find it another home if the dog isn't a good fit for them. This is just my opinion as someone who has had multiple cats and dogs in her life and treats them as they should be... like loving family members.
