I went to this place a few months ago, and it was a very nice experience. I came to see the alligators and the turtles, that were claimed to be there. Finding the pond that had the alligators were difficult, and the way I found it was by spotting an alligator a few feet away a . I was very surprised that I actually found , as many claim to have but I have never seen any. This was my being a few away from an alligator FROM THE ! I don't understand how they do it without anybody getting. Very good experience, but I recommend

The drive to Brick Pond was about half an hour from Evans. Once there the traffic circle confused me and my GPS. The trails are level with mostly clear views of the swamp. There's no guarantee you'll spot alligators since they blend in so well with the environment. On my most recent trip I saw turtles, several large birds, and finally some alligators. On my next trip I hope to get better shots of some birds.

Most bony fishes have two sets of jaws made mainly of bone. The primary oral jaws open and close the mouth, and a second set of pharyngeal jaws are positioned at the back of the throat. The oral jaws are used to capture and manipulate prey by biting and crushing. The pharyngeal jaws, so-called because they are positioned within the pharynx, are used to further process the food and move it from the mouth to the stomach
Please do not remove anything from the park. Take only pictures and leave only footprints. Thank you.
Yes, you can fish in West Pond with a SC State and a City of North Augusta fishing license. There are maps in the park to show visitors the fishing area.
If you park next to the parking deck, the path comes in right off of the parking area.
My experience is that the Gators are usually hanging out in the water more than on the land. The Gators I've seen on land have been during the winter months, as it seems that they were sunning in order to raise their body temperature. I have never seen more than one at any given time.
