9.9.22 Got a big screw in my tire around 4:30is and I stopped at Firestone and Town Fair Tire in Wallingford and I called 2 other places but ALL told me they were either too busy, understaffed, would be closing soon etc. and they couldn't help me. I called Pep Boys and was told they were busy but they'd help me patch up the tire. This was my 1st time here and the guy who helped me was great. He saw I was freaking out and he was patient, kind, and assured me that they'd help me before they closed. This helped me relax. I was able to track their work progress on my phone. I left with a friend to grab a bite and as promised, they patched my tire. Thank you for amazing customer service!

Took my car in for an electrical issue this morning. My appointment was on time and a technician gave me regular updates as to what was happening with the car. I also received some email alerts with the status of complimentary tests (tires, battery, etc). In the end, the issue ended up being just a loose coil that was fixed and I paid basically just the inspection fees. Excellent service, clean waiting area and no random fees/service charges etc. I will be making a future appointment with my other vehicle and really appreciated the help this morning.

Great tires service! Adam was extremely helpful. Ask for Adam if you need any service done. He’s on the Berlin turnpike office.

We are able to get them from our warehouse in 3-5 days they are $41.39 each plus tax
Yes, it’s a Pep Boys Tire and Service Center with mechanics for your car but you can’t just buy parts or products for self-service here.
It’s not closing. It is open for an oil change, repairs and for new tires but you can’t buy parts or products directly for self-service.
If your appointment was for today please keep in mind that the black Friday sale was all weekend long and ended yesterday. With the sale being buy 2 get 2 free cooper tires. It takes about an hour per car to do the tires with the dismount and mounting of the tires. There is also a limited number of tire machines and wheel balancing machines. Normally about 2 of each per location. With about 6 technicians working on tires at a time it takes longer to mount and balance the tires. For example the Berlin, ct location has done over $40,000 between friday and sunday on tire sales alone with the sale ending on Monday. People were also able to schedule appointments for the rest of the week during the sale to be able to get that price and be able to have them put on when they have the availability in their schedules
Hi Sandy. So, there will be some variables when you talk about changing coolant. Shops can do a simple drain and refill or you can have it flushed. The flush is better, but will cost more. Another factor is the coolant that is used to fill the system. There are universal coolants and there are manufacturer specific coolants. For me, in my opinion, the latter is better/preferred. Also, you should not mix antifreeze types. Beyond that, you need to call around. At least now, you are armed with some good basic knowledge so you can make an informed decision. Good luck, I hope this helps you.
